Virginia Cornell, DVM

Dr. Virginia Cornell 2

Dr. Cornell joined the Aldergrove team after completing an Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery in Sacramento, California in 1993. A native of Lachute, Quebec, Dr. Cornell graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1992. In 2004, she proudly became the owner of Aldergrove and has never worked with a more skilled team. Although she loves all animals and can never pick a favourite breed, her passion is working with cats. She hasĀ 6 cats of her own, along with her beagle, Bono and her weimaraner, Yodi. She is also the mother of two amazing children.

Dr. Cornell’s primary interests revolve around gastrointestinal and endocrine disorders in pets, and she received her certificate in endoscopy/coloscopy/laparoscopy in 2000. She also completed a course in ultrasonography in 2009. Her goal is always to provide the highest level of care for her patients, and in that pursuit maintains high standards for the technology available at Aldergrove as well as the competency of the rest of the team.
