Dr. Cornell joined the Aldergrove team after completing an Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery in Sacramento, California in 1993. A native of Lachute, Quebec, Dr. Cornell graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1992. In 2004, she proudly became the owner of Aldergrove and has never worked with a more skilled team. Although she loves all animals and can never pick a favourite breed, her passion is working with cats. She has 6 cats of her own, along with her Boston Terrier Jellybean. She is also the mother of two amazing children. When not at the clinic, Dr Cornell can be found enjoying the beauty of nature at her cottage by Huntsville.

Dr. Cornell’s primary interests revolve around gastrointestinal and endocrine disorders in pets, and she received her certificate in endoscopy/coloscopy/laparoscopy in 2000. She also completed a course in ultrasonography in 2009. Her goal is always to provide the highest level of care for her patients, and in that pursuit maintains high standards for the technology available at Aldergrove as well as the competency of the rest of the team.

Dr. Lauren Meakings graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Science and the Ontario Veterinary College with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Proud to be a part of the Aldergrove team since 2017, Dr. Meakings has clinical interest in surgery, dermatology, internal medicine, nutrition, and pain management.
When not helping pets and their humans, Dr. Meakings enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and their golden retriever Stevie. She also enjoys playing tennis and baking goodies!

Dr. Adam Guerreiro graduated from the University of Guelph with a Bachelor of Science (Hons), afterwards he travelled to Ireland to complete the veterinarian medicine program at the University College Dublin, and graduated in 2022. His areas of interest in the veterinary field include small animal internal medicine, exotic animal medicine and One Health. During his spare time, Adam takes every opportunity to live a physically active lifestyle and go on as many adventures as possible. Although he does not have any pets of his own, there is likely to be several additions in the near future!

Dr. Beaton graduated from St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2022 and is thrilled to be starting his career with the Aldergrove team! His special interests include preventative medicine, surgery, and dentistry. Dr. Beaton is excited to grow within the practice, build relationships within the community, and provide high level veterinary care.

Colin enjoys cross-country skiing, sailing, and spending time with friends and family. He shares his home with his partner Kelly, two loving dogs Wrangler and Cada, and their cat Socks.

Dr. Parry completed her Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree at Queen’s University and went on to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University, spending her final year clinical rotations at Cornell University, and graduated in 2015. Since then, she has worked in general practice and emergency veterinary clinics in Barrie and Oakville. She loves caring for her patients while forming strong bonds with their families and providing an exceptional client experience. Her veterinary interests include preventative medicine, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery. When she is not in the clinic she enjoys travelling, golfing, skiing, scuba diving, and baking. She shares her home with her husband, two young sons, and their 23-toed polydactyl cat Simcoe.
